Ten eerste praten we hier over server moederborden, die worden kant en klaar gekocht en vervolgens vrijwel nooit geupgrade. Ten tweede is deze limitatie niet van toepassing op Granite Bay moederborden. Ten eerste gebruikt het Marvel systeem waar jij het over hebt nog PC800 RDRAM, ten tweede is de prijs ervan enigzins astronomisch. Bovendien zal Alpha volgens HPQ worden vervangen door Itanium en daar zijn geen RDRAM chipsets voor. Overigens heb ik kort geleden bij enkele moederbordfabrikanten geïnformeerd over die SiS chipset voor RDRAM, maar daar had niemand nog wat over gehoord.

Er staat in de Computer! Totaal van Maart 2003 (nr.3) een erg goed artikel over Dual channel DDR en Rambus, zou je ook eens moeten lezen. :D
