Hoe configureer ik mijn Thomson SpeedTouch ST780WL?

Ik probeer al een tijdje vaste IP adressen voor mijn computers in te stellen en deze in mijn Thomson SpeedTouch ST780WL te configureren maar ik verlies daardoor contact met het Internet. Ik dacht het zo te moeten doen: De computer op een vast IP adres zetten, b.v. 192.168.1.64, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.254 (= adres van de router). Daarna de router aanzetten. DHCP uitschakelen, het adres 192.168.1.64 en het subnetmasker 255.255.255.0 invoeren onder Thuisnetwerk > Interfaces > Configureren in de lijst IP-Adres/Masker en vervolgens onder Apparaten "Gebruik altijd hetzelfde adres:" op ja zetten. Maar als ik dit doe, raak ik de verbinding met het Internet kwijt en soms ook de verbinding met de router zelf. Kan het iets te maken hebben met het feit dat de adressen al eerder zijn uitgedeeld door de DHCP server? Ik wil zelf bepalen welke computer welk adres krijgt.

Aan de router niets wijzigen, dat is niet nodig. Wel even opletten waar de DHCP pool op staat ingesteld (hoeveelheid en start IP van de pool) Stel de DHCP pool staat op 30 met start IP van de pool 192.168.50 dan weet je dat de pool tot 79 loopt. Boven die pool dus vaste IP invoeren en zag zag geen dns in je lijstje ! Je moet ook een vast DNS adres opgeven. Je kunt even in de router kijken bij "internet status" wat de dns(sen) is/zijn.
