Ik heb ongeveer al een maand het volgende in mijn software lijst staan: Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q327979 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q329170 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q329441 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q329909 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q810565 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q810577 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q810833 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q811493 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q811789 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q814033 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q815021 Windows Xp Hotfix (SP2), Q817606 Houd die (SP2) nou ook daarwerkelijk SP2 waarin er over deze topic gediscusseerd word? Of is het iets anders?

Heb net een update van norton 2004 binnen gehaald, en de status word nu ook in het beveiligings centrum goed weergegeven

SP2 op Windows XP Professional NL even geinstalleerd. Het draait als een zonnetje. (Aardige firewall btw)

Ik heb het ook goed nu, moest gewoon ff nieuwe zonealarm instaleren. Alleen hij ziet nod32 nog niet maar die heb ik maar op zelf controleren gezet.

De laatste versie is 2.12.1

Versie 2.12.2 van NOD32 is nog niet beschikbaar via de update-functie. (enkel de Slovaakse is op deze manier beschikbaar). In principe zou eind deze week de Engelse versie via de updatefunctie beschikbaar moeten zijn. Je kan hem wel manueel downloaden.

Je kan hem wel manueel downloaden.[/quote:15fd3ee827] Klopt, maar de support afdeling van eset heeft mij het advies gegeven om versie 2.12.2 te installeren, zodra ik sp-2 ging gebruiken. Deze versie heeft niet meer de bugs die nog in de beta versie zaten.

Ik vind het met SP2 sneller draaien allemaal, ook spellen draaien beter, Mischien word het tijd voor een verse install met een geslipstreamde cd?

soms worden sites met win. xp sp2 misvormt weergegeven bij mij.maar ik denk niet dat dat nog lang duurt voordat die sites zich hebben aangepast.Ik vind de popupkiller tot nu toe goed.Hij houd nuttige schermen niet tegen wat andere popupkillers wel doen.En je hoeft je popupkiller niet uit te zetten als hij perongelijk wel wat tegenhoud(al is dat mij nog nooit gebeurt)

The software maker earlier postponed automatic distribution of the service pack to PCs running Windows XP Professional Edition so users had more time to install the blocking mechanism. Microsoft has also published many documents detailing the changes SP2 makes to Windows XP and potential application compatibility problems. Thomas Smith, manager of desktop engineering at a large Houston-based company that he asked not be named, is happy about the extension. "Microsoft is finally listening to its customers. This is a big thing they have done to help us out," he said. Smith manages about 5,000 Windows XP desktops. The registry key has been installed on more than half of those, he said. "This extension is going to allow us to do more extensive testing, along with giving us time to change our applications to work with SP2, if needed," Smith said. SP2 is more than the usual roll-up of bug fixes and updates; it makes significant changes to Windows in the name of increased security. As a result, SP2 can render existing applications inoperable. Because of those changes, many businesses want to hold off on installing the update and are taking time for testing. Automatic Updates initially didn't give users that flexibility. Although Microsoft advises consumers to enable the Automatic Updates feature in Windows, the company recommends that businesses use patch management tools such as its Systems Management Server and Software Update Services or third-party products. The initial schedule called for Microsoft to begin pushing out the already delayed SP2 via Automatic Updates to all editions of Windows XP on Aug. 16. Systems running Windows XP Home Edition finally started downloading SP2 on Aug. 18, and distribution to Windows XP Professional Edition started on Aug. 25. As implied by the edition names, Windows XP Home Edition is meant for home users, while the Professional Edition is aimed at businesses and more demanding users. Microsoft has labeled SP2 a "critical" update and is urging all Windows XP users to install it as soon as possible. Is er niemand die een idee heeft?[/quote:34d778f0c0] Kijk in je boot.ini of er achter "/fastdetect" niet zoiets staat als "/kernel=". zowel, haal dat dan weg. Dan gebruikt die de orginele windows xp kernel weer.

Ik vervloek servicepack 2 Eeuwige gezeik over beveiliging. Hij vraagt ook 3 keer of je gedownloade bestanden wil openen. En de tekst Home Edition onder XP logo is weg :( :( bij opstarten en het balkje met opstarten is blauw

Da's wel wat kort door de bocht. Eerst wordt Microsoft neergesabeld omdat "alles" openstaat en de beveiliging niet voldoende is. Doen ze er wat aan, geef je zo 'n reactie. En dat je XP logo weg is ......... !

Ik vind het gezeur, er zijn wel mensen die hebben meer problemen door die SP2, Lijstje: - geen internet verbinding meer, - blijft hangen onder het opstarten, - kon niet meer downloaden, - hele tijd vage vastlopers, Denk dat dat wat erger is dan een verprutst logo, :wink:

Er zit een verschil tussen de beveiliging daadwerkelijk verbeteren en gebruikers CONSTANT waarschuwen dat ze zelf wat aan de beveiliging moeten doen.
