Hoe unlock ik mijn SD kaartje?

Door een val is het kleine lock clipje uit mijn SD geheugenkaartje gesprongen en is niet meer te vinden. De kaart zelf is niet beschadigd maar hij is nu tegen veranderingen beveiligd. Ik had nog een 16 MB kaartje liggen en ik besloot eens te gaan kijken hoe dit lock/ unlock mechanisme werkt. Het blijkt een uiterst klein plastic schuifje te zijn. Niets te vinden dat er ergens een elektrisch contact gemaakt of verbroken wordt... Hoe werkt dit? Is het soms mechansch zoals de beveiliging bij een cassette? Weet iemand hoe dit werkt? het kan toch misschien zijn dat door dat schuitje een of twee lipjes kort worden gesloten van het kaartje
