eenvoudig een account kopieren ? (XP Pro)

Wat is het toch tijdrovend om iedere keer een nieuw account volledig naar persoonlijke smaak in te stellen. Denk hierbij b.v. aan situaties waarbij een huisgenoot plotseling ook wil gaan 'computeren'. Het moet toch mogelijk zijn om (op dezelfde PC) een account met een druk op de knop te kopieren. Wie helpt ? Arthur.

Systeemeigenschappen > Gebruikersprofielen > Instellingen > Kopiëren naar... Het zijn meer dan één knoppen, dat wel.

Aanvankelijk dacht ik: 'yes, dat is het'. Maar 't lukt me niet. Voor de zekerheid zal ik even verduidelijken wat ik verwacht; ik hoop alle eigenschappen die ik aan een account heb gegeven over te zetten op een nieuw aan te maken account. Denk hierbij b.v. aan de keuze van Bureaublad, Energie-eigenschappen maar ook aan allerlei voorkeuren m.b.t. Buttons, werkbalken e.d.. Ik heb je tip trachten uit te voeren maar ik zie nog steeds niet 'mijn' mooie Herfst-bureaublad bij het openen van de nieuwe account. Ik heb het volgende gedaan. Rechts geklikt op Deze Computer > Tabblad geavanceerd gekozen > op Instelling geklikt bij gebruikersprofiel. Daar ben ik op één van de accounts gaan staan en heb op de button 'kopieren naar' geklikt. Vervolgens de naam 'Lida' ingevuld en op OK gedrukt. (IK had voordat ik op 'Deze Computer' klikte al een account 'Lida' aangemaakt.) Na dit alles te hebben uitgevoerd voor de zekerheid maar even de PC opnieuw opgestart en vol verwachting de account Lida geopend.>>> zag ik verdorie weer dat ellendige XP Bureaublad.... Wat doe ik fout ?

En als je een kopie van het profiel maakt en dit toewijst aan die nieuwe gebruiker????

But copying from the User Profiles dialog box instead of using Windows Explorer has an important advantage: Windows assigns the proper permissions to the copy. That is, it gives Full Control permission to the user or group you specify and removes permissions for other nonadministrative users. Such permissions are necessary to allow a user access to his or her own profile—but no one else’s. note -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You cannot copy a profile that is currently logged on, including your own. If you want to copy your own profile, you’ll need to log on using a different account. Because so much of your important data is stored in your profile, you might want to store two copies of the profile on different drives. By using some techniques that are intended for managing roaming profiles, you can create automatic local backups. Here’s how: Copy the profile you want to use to another drive. You’ll need to log on using a different administrator account because you can’t copy the profile you’re currently using. In the User Profiles dialog box, select the profile and click Copy To. In the Copy To dialog box, specify a folder on a different drive. You don’t need to change the permitted users. Open Local Users And Groups (Lusrmgr.msc), open Users, and double-click your user name. On the Profile tab, specify the path to the profile copy in the Profile Path box. Now when you log on, Windows copies the profile you created on the other drive to the Documents And Settings folder. This copy becomes your working copy, and anychanges you make to settings or files are recorded there. When you log off, the profile in Documents And Settings is then copied back to the other drive.
