Het is een RTS (Real Time Strategy) game ... Warcraft III immerses players in a compelling, dynamic 3D world of incredible depth and detail. Wandering monsters roam a landscape filled with neutral towns, strongholds, and temples, while stunning environmental effects bring the world to life. Players will guide their elite forces through adventures, battles, quests, and non-player-character interactions. The war over Azeroth rages on, and players must adapt to the surprises that lie in store for them and devise strategies to defeat their opponents. The four distinct playable races that populate Warcraft III are Orcs, Humans, Night Elves, and Undead. Each race is armed with unique units, magical abilities, and weapons of war to take into battle as they renew their struggle for dominance. Additionally, WarCraft III introduces Heroes to the Warcraft universe for the first time. Heroes are powerful units that can advance in experience level, utilize additional skills and spells, and employ auras that affect nearby troops when leading them into battle. New Features Four Unique Races Warcraft 3 is equipped with four playable races, each with their own unique buildings, units, heroes, and magical abilities. The Humans and the Orcs are returning favorites while the Night Elves and the Undead are new comers to the Warcraft stage. Races Specific Heros Always eager to improve on their games, Blizzard has added a significant RPG element to Warcraft 3, as opposed to the typically strategy based previous Warcraft titles. 3 Dimension Playable World Unlike previous Warcraft titles, Blizzard is powering Warcraft III with its own 3D engine, providing a fully interactive world that incorporates non-player characters, wandering monsters, neutral towns, strongholds and temples, and environmental effects. Higher Resolutions Warcraft III supports many different resolutions, so gamers with high-end computers will be able to vividly see the beautiful landscapes and textures of the game, while those of us with slightly older computers can still have an enjoyable experience. Items and Inventories With your Heroes in Warcraft III you can acquire up to six different items, to be kept in your heroes inventory. Items can range in a multitude of ways, from turning your hero invisible to regenerating the health of other units. If used properly items can be very useful in winning a battle where your out numbered. Neutral Units and Buildings Neutral units - or creeps as they are called - are placed in strategic locations around maps often nearby extra gold mines that would make for useful expansions, if you can defeat the creeps. They are also very useful in getting quick experience for your heroes early in the game. Neutral Buildings can only be accessed by a hero and allow you to hire mercenary fighters or purchase magic items. World Editor Similar to the map editor from games like Starcraft, the world design tools allow players to customize many aspects of the game including tile sets, character art, quests, mission objectives, unit types, AI, attributes, special abilities and spells. Bijna goed gegokt... Het is namelijk geen RTS, maar een RPS, een zogenoemde Role Playing Strategie...... Voor de rest is het nog wel ok.,... Maar het is echt een spel dat het waard is om gekocht te worden... Het is grafisch erg mooi en de gameplay is ook zonder meer uitstekend....

warcraft 3 is eigenlijk veel meer RTS dan RPS zoveel RPG elementen zitten er niet in en ze hebben er ook veel minder in zitten dan dat blizzard eerst wou

Ga fietsen met je kinderachtig....... Het is gewoon een geweldig spel... En het blijft voor mij een RPS, ook al zitten er minder rps-elementen in als verwacht, er zijn er nog genoeg...
