anoniem Geplaatst: 9 juli 2003 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 9 juli 2003 De minimumeis is: 8 MB 3D accellerator card with Direct3D support; DirectX® 7.0 or higher.
Dit zegt men er over: ATI Video Cards If you encounter crashes, try turning off lightmaps in the NOLF display menu. If you encounter a black screen when starting the game using, click the Advanced button and then check the box to disable movies in the launcher.
anoniem Geplaatst: 11 juli 2003 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 11 juli 2003 Ik heb even wat verder rondgekeken en je hebt inderdaad gelijk. de Kyro 2 ondersteund geen T&L: Bron [quote:1c3043369c][b:1c3043369c]Missing from the Kyro II feature set is a T&L engine.[/b:1c3043369c] Claiming that the current generation of CPUs are far superior at T&L calculations than any graphics part can be, STMicroelectronics choose to leave T&L off the Kyro II. Perhaps STMicroelectronics is referring to the fact that the non-programmable T&L we've seen on GeForce2 and Radeon cards has not been taken much advantage of, but the programmable unit of the GeForce3 will be much more useful and much more powerful. Whether or not this will hurt the Kyro, we will see in our CPU scaling tests, but it certainly would not hurt to put a T&L engine on the chip. Look for the next PowerVR chip to feature such an engine.[/quote:1c3043369c] Verder kwam ik het volgende tegen in een review over NOLF2: [quote:1c3043369c] [b:1c3043369c]However, you'll run into trouble if your video card is not equipped with Hardware Transform and Lighting, a feature found in current ATI and Nvidia cards.[/b:1c3043369c] What makes this issue annoying is that Hardware T & L isn't a heavily touted quality among video cards. You won't find "Now with more Hardware Transform and Lighting!" emblazoned on the box; it's there in the fine print and sometimes not at all. A Voodoo 5 has been documented to work with a Software T&L emulator, but only to varying degrees of success. [b:1c3043369c]Hercules Kyro owners, like I formerly was, are just utterly out of luck.[/b:1c3043369c] Even though at some point software must begin to implement the newest hardware power, support for a wider range of graphic cards would have made it easier for a wider audience to enjoy this game. I'm not taking points off, but it's something to be aware of, especially if you are uncertain whether or not your card makes the cut. anoniem Geplaatst: 11 juli 2003 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 11 juli 2003 Je hebt helemaal gelijk.
