It has chances to come by Christmas, though, it may become available only early next year. We may expect NV36X and NV40 to support PCI Express, although I am not sure if these chips will ever need it. In the end of the second quarter 2004 all NVIDIA’s NV3x graphics processors will be replaced with variety of NV4x solutions. The NV36X will be replaced by NV41, whereas the GeForce FX 5200 aka NV34 will be succeeded by the NV43. There will be also the NV42 to come in the middle of 2004, but I am not sure what it is. In fact, this may be either a faster or a slower incarnation of the NV43. Het ziet er naar uit dat als je volgend jaar "the latest & the Greates" wilt hebben op videogebied ook meteen je moederbord moet upgraden. PCI-Express 16x komt eraan.

Ik ben persoonlijk erg benieuwd naar de prestaties van de Delta Chrome. Ik hoop echt dat ze een plekje weten te veroveren in de videokaarten markt. Voor de afwisseling; nu gaat het vooral tussen Ati en Nvidia (met Matrox die een beetje aan de hoekjes knabbelt). En meer concurrentie heeft vrijwel altijd een gunstige invloed op de prijzen ;-). Weet iemand trouwens hoe ver de ontwikkeling van deze kaarten gevorderd is? De site geeft niet echt veel informatie.

Weinig info mbt de status van de Delta Chrome, ik was ook wel benieuwd, maar als daar dadelijk weer een generatie van ATI en NV aan voorafgaat geef ik de kaart weinig kans, dus ik hoop dat ze zover zijn.

Je hoeft niet een hele nieuwe pc te kopen hoor, een halve is ook goed ;) wat je nodig hebt medio 2004 om "the latest & the Greates" te hebben is: Athlon64 of Pentium 4 "prescott" socket775 Moederbord met PCI Expess 16x ondersteuning en DDR-II. 1024mb DRR-II ATI R400/500 of nVidia NV40/45 PCI Express 16x Nieuwe CPU. valt toch wel mee ;) tja als je altijd het snelste wilt kost het je ook veel geld helaas.

2004 lijkt me een jaar van grote overstappen dus... maar als het moet, moet het... wil wel het nieuwste kunnen blijven doen... ik hoop dat de nieuwste Ati series die Pci-Express ondersteunen, beter zijn als die van Nvidia... klinkt achterlijk natuurlijk, maar ik heb meer met Ati als met Nvidia

next generation graphics... vraag me af wat we kunnen verwachtten.... ik hoop dat we met die kaartjes... games met kwaliteit van "Game4" kunnen spelen...met wat meer fps als 25... en dat geheugen, moet idd een flinke boost zijn...

Ik vraag me af, Hoelang zou het nog duren voordat we het gewone dagelijkse beeld op onze monitoren krijgen? Ik denk dat je met de huidige generatie (fx5900 en radeon 9800) toch al een heel eind komt. ( :roll: )

je bedoeld "Foto realistic Graphix" ? Daar heb je toch wel wat zwaarders voor nodig, voordat je games van Shrek/Toy story 2 kwaliteit hebt zit je pas in 2005 en dat is nog geen eens Foto realistisch. wil je een staaltje van schoon gfx techniek zien, kijk dan naar de nieuwe Disnbey film: [url=http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/findingnemo/index2.html?]Finding Nemo[/url] (check hier de trailer -- Streams) Deze is van de makers van Toy Story, voordat we games hebben van de kwaliteit van "Finding Nemo".... zucht.. was het maar zover.

Ik zou toch zweren dat ik ergens had gelezen dat de radeon9700pro al voor dat soort effecten klaar was. Niet dat ik et geloofde maja, wilde er toch eff wat meer over weten :)

Euhm, is het programmeren van zulke graphics voor games niet ont-zet-tend veel werk? Dat zou betekenen dat alle games járen in ontwikkeling zouden moeten zijn...

Dat zijn ze nu toch ook al :wink: Hoelang is al bekend dat doom3 komt, en wanneer komt het uit. Ik wed dat ze daar ook al minimaal een jaar of 3 mee bezig zijn. (als et al niet langer is)

Jawel, maar als Doom3 al zoveel tijd kost, kan je nagaan hoe lang het duurt voordat je een spel met fotorealistische graphics hebt ontwikkeld?

Dat is het probleem niet, Programeren in DirectX 9 is al makelijker dan in DirectX 8.0/8.1 . Het moeilijk zijn of het lang duren van programmeren ligt niet aan het feit of het foto realistisch is. Daarom worden er ook programma's ontwikkled zoals CG van nVidia. wat de geest bedoeld over ondersteunen van Foto's op Texture. is de GeForce FX 5800/5900 (NV30/NV35). Het ondersteunen wil nog niet zegen dat je er een game van kan maken ;) Hoe dan ook is dat wat de NV30/NV35 ondersteunen nog niets vergeleken met hoe bijvoorbeeld "Finding Nemo" eruit ziet. Helaas, de hardeschijf van m'n eigen computer is kapot (één van de redenen dat ik hem upgrade, als ik toch bezig ben met het vervangen van een hardeschijf, kan ik net zo goed de rest ook doen, zo dacht ik ;-)) en de computer waar ik nu opzit (m'n oude comp) is erg vaag en heeft vaak kuren. De hardeschijf van de deze computer zit ook nog eens bijna volledig vol met back-ups van wat ik nog heb kunnen redden van m'n oude hardeschijf (starts soms op en doet het dan voor 5 min ofzo)... Ik bekijk hem binnekort wel is op m'n moeders comp, maar aangezien ik ook toetsweek heb komende week... *zucht* :( :x :roll: Btw, de upgrade is ook nog eens uitgesteld (het kan niet op met mijn geluk ;-)) aangezien nu ook het Leadtek bord uitverkocht is (traag reageren van mijn kant, ik geef toe, m'n vader was namelijk niet te bereiken...).
