Anyone looking to use Serial-ATA in the future will either have to purchase an additional SATA controller card or pick-up a few SATA adapters. The same can be said of those who are looking for high-performance sound with support for all the latest and greatest features. If these are features you are going to need, certainly one would fare better by spending the additional $40 on a more feature-rich nForce2 motherboard, as it will come equipped with this functionality from the factory at a much lower overall price. In the end, it all comes down to personal needs and wants. For the gaming enthusiast on a budget, the Soltek SL-75FRN2-L motherboard looks to be an excellent option. Sporting support for the latest technology and featuring some exceptional overclocking controls within the BIOS, it seems hard to go wrong with this board. Though it might lack the flashy bundles of some of the pricier nForce2 boards, this review proves that it has what it takes to compete with the very best in terms of performance. Best of all, the Soltek SL-75FRN2-L can be found for less than US$100 at popular online stores. Looking at the board’s performance, you have to be impressed. One characteristic, which should be noted, is the amount of time required to boot into Windows with this board. Normally, we would hardly give load times a second thought, though this board's speed was nothing short of incredible. Here, it was not uncommon for us to witness sub ten-second boot times, which is impressive to say the least. Combined with stellar performance, great overclocking potential, and a very unique appearance, the Golden Flame nForce2 series from Soltek is sure to capture one’s attention. Quite simply, Soltek brings together flagship level performance and mainstream pricing with the SL-75FRN2-L. Backed by a company who is steadily earning a reputation for a solid mainstream product, Soltek seems committed to bringing value to the mainboard marketplace. At the end of the day whether you're talking about cars or motherboards, speed is all that really matters...right? anoniem Geplaatst: 9 mei 2003 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 9 mei 2003 Ja dat is maar één review en ze zijn BTW zo enthousiast vanwege combinatie OCbaarheid/prijs. Een Epox 8RDA is ook onder de 100 euro te krijgen en de + voor 115 en deze heeft sterkere features. Link naar reactie
