Foto's versturen

Hallo allemaal, :D Ik probeer foto's naar mensen te versturen die een hotmail adres hebben bij MSN. Helaas komen die foto's in een of andere abracadabra taaltje over. De foto's die ik verstuur naar mensen die Outlook Expres als hun standaard e-mail ontvanger gebruiken, komen wel goed aan. Ik verstuur de foto's altijd in JPEG formaat. Hoe kan het dat de foto's op een MSN hotmail adres niet goed over komen? Groetjes,

Hotmail can be persuaded to treat an image as an attachment by giving the file a non-standard Content-Type. Since Hotmail doesn't know that the browser is going to interpret an arbitrary attachment as an HTML file, it doesn't filter the content of the file. Clicking on the attachment will cause Hotmail to scan the attachment for viruses and then ask you if you would like to download it. When you click on the download button, the window will be replaced for a brief moment with garbage characters (the raw JPG) and then the HTML will be displayed. In the case of a JavaScript or CSS exploit, the code would presumably replace the page of garbage characters with a password prompt or other item. The user would not unreasonably assume that something had gone wrong with the software and their session had expired. :roll:

Waar het in het kort op neer komt is dat Hotmail het bestand middels een nieuw te openen pagina wil laten zien, maar dat hij hem behandelt als een exploit (virus) waardoor de code allen maar garbage (rommel) laat zien. Het gaat om de manier waarop IE de attachment interpreteerd, een nieuwere versie van IE kan het problaam misschien oplossen.

Wat ik altijd doe is de foto's ff zippen in Winzip en dat als attachment versturen, komt altijd goed over, ook in Hotmail!
