hoe zat het ook alweer met die favicons?

idd ik heb ie 5.5 en ineens zijn mijn favicons verdwenen; verwijderen en opnieuw toevoegen aan favorieten mag niet baten... Als ik zoek op *.ico zie ik ze wel in de cache?

wie-o-wie droogt mijn tranen.....???

Je kunt ze kwijt raken als je je map Tijdelijke internet bestanden leegt. Je kunt het progje FavOrg eens downloaden op http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stories/info/0,10615,77423,00.html Dit progje controleert alle sites in je favorieten op favicons, voegt ze toe, en je kunt bovendien de map waarin ze bewaard worden wijzigen. Maak bijvoorbeeld een map Favicons aan in Mijn Documenten, en verwijs FavOrg daarnaartoe. Dan raak je ze nooit meer kwijt. Het controleert overigens trouwens ook je Favorieten op links die niet meer werken.

I used to see favicons, but now they've all disappeared. What Happened? Favicons are cached very similar to html documents. When they are deleted from the cache, they revert to the standard IE icon. If you want to prevent the icon from disappearing:

1. Create a local directory (IE c:favicons) 2. Copy the desired favicon into the directory created above. 3. Right click the mouse over the favorite/bookmark and select properties. 4. Enter the path (or use the 'browse' feature) to the favicon you want for that bookmark.

Another temporary solution is to hold down the mouse button while holding shift over the default IE icon in the address bar and then let go of the mouse button anywhere in the address bar. This seems to 'update' the favicon.
