nee ik heb me V-lijnen alleen in me bios kunnen zien. btw. me pc lootp vandaag de hele dag al stabiel op 12,5x145 en de radeon 9700 pro niet overgeklokt. geen idee waarom ie eerder wel telkens crashde. ik denk dat me 340watt voeding net genoeg is of net niet. ik zit te overwegen een 430watt antec te kopen of een 420watt CWT die HJS en BA ook hebben

tja dat zelfde wilde ik ook net posten in een aparte topic...... maar goed dat ik eerst even hier nagekeken heb! klote, als je hem al gekocht hebt.... wat weer eens bewijst dat tegenwoordig alles veel te snel de markt opgegooid word, zonder uitvoerig te testen. Geen last van gehad op mijn AGP 8x mobo's. VIA P4PB 400-FL en Gigabyte GA-8SG Wel had is bij de HIS dat mijn systeem soms spontaan reboot. Dat had te maken met een early stepping A2 van de R300. Dat moet met de huidige kaarten A3 over zijn.

Nee dat kan niet. Moederborden die ik heb gebruikt willen alleen maar op AGP 8x en kunnen niet op 4x gezet worden. Over het nut en hoe en wat met AGP 8x komt binnenkort een artikeltje online. Stepping kun je meen ik zien met Powerstrip. Het is een bekend probleem en ik heb er verder geen aandacht aangeschonken omdat die kaarten inmiddels toch niet meer te krijgen zijn.

ohw dan heb ik een A3 stepping schat ik zo. jammer dat je AGPx8 niet kan testen. hoewel ik het nut er (nog) niet van in zie.

Misschien net als bij de Parhelia. De 4-voudige PS eruit slopen en dan kun je ook de floatingpoint precision pipes eruit halen. Daar wordt ie flink goedkoper van. Voorlopig heb je dat toch niet nodig... Misschien nog de 256bits membus eruit en gewoon terug naar 128 membus met 4-way controller. (ik heb geen idee hoe de specs zullen zijn. ik doe maar een gok) Hiermee lijkt mij dat je flink kunt knijpen op de prijs zonder dat je een nadelig effect ervan hebt in de huidige apps. De Radeon 8500 gaat eruit er moet iets tussen de 9000pro en de 9700pro komen.

De Radeon 9500 zou moeten kunnen concurreren met de GF4ti4200 maar als ze er zoveel uit de R300 chip slopen en de GF4ti4200 zoveel opvoeren de laatste tijd vraag ik me af of ATI dat qua performance [i:917577453c]en[/i:917577453c] prijs wel gaat lukken? 8)

Van die sloop acties die hierboven staan wordt ie niet langzamer (je haalt de DirectX 9 functies eruit). Ook de verlaging van 8 naar 4 pixelpipelines zal geen desastreuze gevolgen hebben. Pipelines worden lang niet altijd allemaal gebruikt. Bijvoorbeeld in hoeken en aan randen van polygonen. En bij een hoge polycount heb je weinig winst van een 8 voudige pixelpipeline t.o.v. een 4-voudige.

Ja, ATI doet echt z'n best om z'n slechte reputatie in driver-support op te vijzelen! 8) Mag ook wel, het is eigenlijk stom dat je videokaart van heel veel euro's het niet gewoon in een keer goed doet...

wel mooi dat ze nu luistern naar de Eind gebruiker. een refresh fix standaard in de driver vind ik erg goed. mag nVidia ook wel is mee beginnen. ik heb de beste man van rage3d ook maar gemaild met mijn specs. de Radeon 9700 loopt nu wel stabiel op me systeem met 340watt Chieftec voeding.

Ik zag op www.guru3d.com dat er weer andere drivers waren. Dat getal 5.13.10302 staat direct achter controlpanel bij de uitleg van de ATI drivers op guru3d maar de control panel bundle voor windows 2000 begint ook met een 6 dus volgens mij wordt er iets door elkaar gegooid bij guru3d. :-? Over het algemeen zou ik gewoon de drivers gebruiken die bij ATI op de site worden aangeboden. Maar het risico van beta-achtige drivers hoef ik aan jou niet uit te leggen 8)

idd. de 6166 drivers die ik nu heb waren zonder control panel al groter. iig bedankt. weer wat geleerd over Ati drivers. ik wist al wel dat de 4 voor win9x drivers stond. de drivers die guru3d aanbied heb ik dus al en zijn niet meer itteressant, tis nu wachten op de drivers met de refreshfix erin gebakken :)
