[Windows] Vista [32] - problemen met openen website

Er is een website die ik met windows vista en ie8 (late onderhouds levels) niet kan openen en lezen. Het gaat om de website: stadsarchief.amsterdam.nl of: www.stadsarchief.amsterdam.nl Ik krijg dan een scherm te zien wat onleesbaar en onbruikbaar is. Het is volgens mij in MIME formaat. De website reageert met downloaden bestand niet toegestaan, zoeken of opslaan ? Als ik opsla wordt er van de link verwijzing zoals hierboven staat een bestandsomschrijving gemaakt, zonder bestandstype in de vorm: stadsarchief_amsterdam_nl (geen file type). Ik kan de website niet openen en doornemen. Met XP heb ik geen problemen, en eerder met Vista ook niet. Ik heb het register van de laptop geschoond, dito de ruimte van de pc. Ook treedt het probleem bij Vista (32b) op. Possible Solutions: 1. Simply register with Wikipedia (create an account) and log into Wikipedia. This has worked for a few people. 2. Uninstalling the google desktop supposedly has worked for a few. 3. Emptying the IE cache worked for at least one user. Root Cause: Not quite sure yet. I took Fiddler2 traces of a failing attempt and a succeeding attempt. The main differences I see between the failure trace and the success trace is that in the success trace we get a 200 rather than a 304. We also have a cookie that has more information. I’m tempted to speculate that the problem may be more with some nuance of the X-Vary-Option rather than with the application/x-gzip-compressed MIME type. But this is only speculation at this point. Heeft er iemand soortgelijke ervaringen met een andere website ? Is het probleem opgelost ? Hoe? Systeem herstel met een herstelpunt levert geen oplossing op.
