I have a Synology NAS that contains movies and music. I have a PlayOn HD Mini media player from AC Ryan (now bankrupt) with which I can play all that. Perfect for movies, but for music you have to turn on the TV to be able to visibly browse through the music files. This is not pleasant with the remote control of the device, and I just don't want to have that TV on... I would like to do this via an App on an Android tablet (Nexus 7). As far as I know there is no App for the PlayOn that does that. I am willing to buy another MediaPlayer (without its own storage), but I have no idea which one can do what I would like. In short: I want to be able to control the media player via an Android app on my tablet, and it is especially important that I can browse through the folders and files
FaceTime for Windows on my NAS, and playlists can bear. Does such a thing exist?
