c schijfopruiming werkt niet

Mijn c-schijf loopt vol. Normaal wist ik via verkenner/eigenschappen/schijfopruiming een en ander vrij te spelen. Nu blijft de voortgangsbalk steken op 2 streepjes en loopt de procedure vast. Hetzelfde geldt voor het indexeren van bestanden. Op de andere partities en schijven gaat het nog steeds goed. Heeft iemand een oplossing ?
