SIS 745 moederbord en 200GB Harde Schijf

Hoi, ik heb dus een probleem, heb net heel blij een nieuwe maxtor 200 gb HD gekocht, ga ik naar win2000, computer services om mijn HD te laten herkennen door het systeem, wil hij geen grote drive aanmaken dan 128GB. Ik heb vervolgens de laatste bios upgrade gedaan van AMI voor mijn SIS745 moederbord en dan wil win2000 nog steeds maar maximaal 128GB drive aanmaken. Hoe kan dat? Heeft iemand tips om dit probleem te verhelpen? Ik zou je eeuwig dankbaar zijn!

Partition Magic installeren en je schijf partitioneren en formateren,lukt in de meeste gevallen.

Ondersteunt je chipset ATA133 of alleen AT100?

Daar heb je waarschijnlijk je probleem. DMA100 ondersteunt maximaal 128GB grote harde schijven. Volgens mij was dat een adresseringsprobleem, de enige oplossing is waarschijnlijk om de schijf aan te sluiten op een PCI uitbreidingskaartje met IDE controller die wel DMA133 ondersteunt. Of je moet de schijf inruilen voor een kleinere.

dat is voor WIN XP die geen schijven groter dan 137gb kan als je geen service pack hebt werkt het voor jou dan ?

Ja zeker dat dit gaat werken. Heb hetzelfde probleem ooit gehad met w2k en je moet inderdaad die registersleutel inbouwen in je systeem en het werkt perfect.
