Some of your configuration settings may not work properly. Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.)" Dit gaat mij helaas boven de pet. Ik heb al gekeken op http://projects.gnome.org/gconf, echter daar kom ik ook niet verder mee. Weet iemand wat er precies bedoeld wordt met bovenstaande en hoe ik de zaak opgelost krijg, zodat ik normaal als gnome-commander (en andere apps) als root kan gebruiken? Thx! Quote Link naar reactie

anoniem Geplaatst: 8 juli 2009 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 8 juli 2009 Ik had in Mandriva de terminal geopend en toen de opdracht 'su' gegeven en daarna het password. Vervolgens 'gnome-commander' ingetypt en op enter gedrukt. Voornoemde melding was het gevolg. Kun je hier wat mee? Quote Link naar reactie

anoniem Geplaatst: 11 juli 2009 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 11 juli 2009 verschil tussen su en su - is dat bij de eerste de omgevingsvariabelen van de huidige gebruiker blijven behouden, terwijl bij de laatste de omgevingsvariabelen van de nieuwe gebruiker (in dit geval root) worden gebruikt.
