[SuSE 8.2]Radeon drivers compatibiliteit

Hoi allemaal, De patch werkt hierzo niet (haalt in elk geval nix uit). (weet oof niet waar het *.diff filetje voor dient).... Ook UT2003 werkt niet goed. Zoals eerder gezegd is t beginscherm al BLUR (vette software redendering). Ook spoort de muziek niet (vet lelijk en loopt veel te snel met vage onder en boven toon-pieken) Ook kan ik geen levels laden en loopt hier X ook (net zoals bij jolo) vast als het schermpje "LOADING" opdoemd... Mijn conclusie is: Dat of er hier iets fout zit Of dat SuSE fglrx niet leuk vind En dat ik beter wat anders kan probere (kan iemand me n !goed! boek aanraden voor de shell/bash, zodat ik hier wat meer van snap? Misschien ga ik de overstap wel maken naar Mandrake of zelfs Slackie. K ga dr van uit dat ik meerdere linux distros naast elkaar kan draaien? Ook dat loading probleem in ut2003 is dan opgelost. Alleen 1 probleem bleef nog over. Als tijdens de Tutoral de scherm beveiliging de monitor op zwart zet, dan blijft het beeld zwart. Reageert dan niet meer op het toetsenbord. // E-Razoor Ik weet niet zeker of deze gewijzigde instructies voor jouw bruikbaar zijn, maar het valt te proberen.

hmm, ook dit schijnt niet te werken. Indien ik in SaX een weiziging maak, en toepas, wordt het groene lichtje van mn monitor oranje, en krijg ik zwart scherm... Misschien wel handig om op te merken: De normale SuSE installatie liep bij mij vast. Pas toen ik de ACPI-off-installation koos, kwam mn pc de installatie periode door... Misschien ligt t hier aan?? [/quote:4401026ea8] Waarom sax2 niet werkt, dat weet ik ook niet. Daarom heb ik in mijn vorige bericht toegevoegd, hoe de fglrx driver van SuSE handmatig te configureren. Heb je dat intussen al geprobeerd?

En tuxracer? Tja, ik denk dat nu wel alle mij bekende oplossingen heb genoemd. Misschien is die Radeon 9700 PRO met ASUS A7V8X+ en SuSE toch niet zo een goede combinatie is. Wellicht zou je nog met Yast2 > Diverse > Laat systeem log zien, controleren op fouten.

Dit is wel vreemd, omdat linux tijdens zijn boot aangeeft: Have IRQ 13 want 9.( zie ook log dat eerder gepost is) Op 9 zit volgens t zelfde zwarte scherm, mn communicatie controllers op, usb ed... Hoop dat dit voldoende info is... P.S. als ik ut2003 wil update, en commando ./update uitvoer in betreffende updates map, krijg ik een error, dat deze file niet aanwezig is en niet geopend kan worden :S Doe ik iets fout?? En irq 3 en irq 4 worden doorgaans gebruikt door je seriele com poorten. Als deze niet gebruikt worden kun je deze eventueel in de BIOS uit zetten. Uit je /var/log/XF86Config van Sat Sep 13 13:49:59 2003 blijk dat inderdaad ati driver version 3.2.0 Date: Jul 10 2003 weer geinstalleerd is. Terwijl we toch bezig waren met version 2.9.13. Trouwens, nu mijn Radeon 9000 videokaart weer in de PC zit waar die uit kwam, is de 3DDiag ook veranderd. Ik heb nu weer de version 2.9.13 driver geinstalleerd, maar nu krijg ik x weer niet opgestart. Hij geeft een of andere buserror, dit adres stond overigens ook in het XF86Config filetje, wat aangepast moest worden. Ook krijg ik andere grafische toepassingen via de shell nu niet meer draaiend. Ik ga denk ik maar een nieuwe install houden, of anders het zelfde maar met mandrake te proberen. Bij mij is de bottleneck gewoon sax2. Overigens als ik in de prompt startx intyp wordt het scherm zwart. Als ik dan weer [ctrl]+[alt]+[F1] inhoud, zie ik die bus foutmelding in de prompt staan...

In combinatie met een NVIDIA chipset video kaart werkt sax2 wel.

In elk geval thnx voor de moeite guys!
