Hoe sluit ik utp kabel aan op tv en mediaspeler?

Ik heb één UTP kabel van Experiabox KPN (in meterkast) naar de tv ontvanger in woonkamer liggen en gebruik dezelfde kabel voor de mediaspeler, die naast de tv staat, voor het overzetten van films via het netwerk. Bij gebruik van de Mediaspeler wordt de kabel in de Experiabox van poort gewisseld en in de apparaten zelf. Omdat de groene lampjes van de verbinding alleen aan gaan zodra één van de apparaten aan staat vraag ik me af of het mogelijk is om met bv met een hub en switchs zowel de interactieve tv van KPN als ook de mediaspeler aan te sluiten op die ene kabel zonder dat er storingen ontstaan. Gebruik van de kabel door tv ontvanger en mediaspeler tegelijk zal nl niet voor komen. vanuit de KPN Experiabox wordt verder via een ethernet kabel contact gemaakt met mijn PC op de 1e verdieping en met de paptop wordt een draadloze gemaakt met de router

Waarom wissel je de kabel van poort in de experiabox als je films gaat kijken? Zo'n experiabox is volgens mij gewoon een soort modem/router toch of ben ik nou gek? Als dat inderdaad bij de experia box niet hoeft te wisselen: Dan kan je gewoon een switch aan de andere kant zetten en plug je daar die kabel van de experiabox in en 2 kabels naar de apparaten.
