Hoe los ik probleem rond printkop Canon Pixma MP610 op?

Mijn MP610 reageerde niet meer op de aan/uitknop. Bleek een defecte voedingskabel (?). Andere kabel erop en de printer startte, maar liep toen vast met de mededeling: "Error code U 052, Type printkop is onjuist, installeer de juiste printkop". Einde verhaal, de printer doet verder niets meer, ook geen scannen mogelijk. Weer zo'n mededeling waar je niets mee kan; er is immers niets veranderd aan de hardware. Kun je die error resetten?
